St. Paul, MN June 3, 2004 Magna Publications, Inc. has contracted iProduction to provide Internet publishing systems and related services for Magnas entire line of information products and services. The site is located at www.magnapubs.com.
Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Magna creates and distributes content for higher education audiences. The companys newsletter titles include National On-Campus Report, The Teaching Professor, Academic Leader, Perspective: A Campus Legal Monthly, Recruitment and Retention, Campus Events Professional, Distance Education Report, Online Classroom, Edutech, and Administrator.
iProduction president Stephen M. Laliberte said the new Magna site is a perfect example of how running multiple publications on a single Internet Publishing System can help to reduce production costs and improve overall site functionality. Magna has reduced the per-title costs of delivering content on the Web, Laliberte said. At the same time, the system can process virtually any combination of subscriptions, conference registrations, audio conference purchases, or other products for any Magna customer.
More about Magna Publisher William Haight founded Magna Publications, Inc in 1972. The company now has a staff of 27 and produces ten newsletters, three national conferences, numerous audio conferences, and a business magazine. In 1999, Magna acquired the National Conference on Student Leadership, a twice-a-year conference for student leaders and campus administrators. In 2001 a third conference was added, and annual attendance now totals over 2,000. Magna also operates a magazine division, which produces a business magazine and a number of other magazines and books in various fields.
