By Steve Horton ST. PAUL, MN July 28, 2005 With their recent Web site update, IOMA, the Institute of Management & Administration, has become the first to integrate the iPro IPS Internet publishing system with the popular QuickFill offline fulfillment application. This integration bridges the historic gap between the front end of the Web the content that site visitors can view and back end systems that handle circulation, fulfillment, accounting, marketing, and financial reporting. The updated site is located at www.ioma.com. Using a new iPro IPS module called iPro Circulator FX (Fulfillment Exchange), IOMAs online transactions can now flow through to QuickFill without re-keying and without the QFIE Internet extension. iPro Circulator FX updates the QuickFill database when a customer buys a product, renews a subscription, or makes an address change on ioma.com. A lot of publishers use back-end systems that were designed before the Web hit the scene, said iProduction president Stephen M. Laliberte. For them, handling Web money has been cumbersome. Now, information flows back and forth automatically. Laliberte said iPro Circulator FX is designed to work with all popular fulfillment systems. Other benefits IOMA will realize through this integration include:
iProduction has provided hosted applications for IOMA sites for two years prior to the QuickFill integration project. Applications include Internet content management, site reporting, content search and retrieval, shopping cart, and payment gateway applications. More About IOMA IOMA products include high-quality print and electronic newsletters, research reports, buyers guides, conferences, seminars, audio conferences, training courses, list rental, certification programs, and business advisory services. IOMA products are available on a regular subscription basis and for purchase. The company offers advertising and sponsorship opportunities to companies seeking to reach professional audiences, but does not run ads in its subscription-based newsletters. More About iProduction |
