iProduction Upgrades Query Builder

St. Paul, MN - February, 2007 – Internet Production, Inc. has released an upgraded version of the Query Builder, a email list building tool that is included in the Mailzeen™ module of the Internet Publishing System™.

The Query Builder exists to help iProduction clients create promotional mailing lists from existing users. The previous version allowed clients to query users based primarily on inclusion in an editorial list and geographic location. The upgraded version is a much more sophisticated and powerful tool that will allow clients to quickly create highly customized promotional lists. All iProduction clients will receive the upgraded version.

Overview of the Upgraded Query Builder

The new version of the Query Builder gives users many more options and criteria to build a query. There are four different query methods to building a query. When building a desired query, any number of the methods may be applied.

  1. Baseline Query is the beginning set of users. This query allows users to build a list starting with opted-in subscribers from one or several editorial mailing lists, reader demographics, or purchase history.

  2. Main Query is used to grab a more specific subset based on user information such as state, postal code, country, email address, user creation date, last login, purchase involvement, etc.

  3. Exclusion Query is the set of users not included as part of the query results. The exclusion criteria will most often be a mailing list or purchase of a specific product.

  4. Multi-Level Query allows users to combine the results from multiple Main Queries.

After finishing setting the query, a user can review it then run it and either save it to a file or save it as a new promotional mailing list. The save feature allows for A/B splitting the query results into more than one list. This can be used to test promotions. The save feature will save as a promotional email list or it will return a tab delimited file that can be used for mailing labels.

The goal of the upgrade is that iProduction clients will be able to better test promotional mailings and better target their audience.
