The future of online publishing is in the cloud

The iProduction platform is a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.

The advantages of a SaaS platform include:

  • Be up and running in a matter of hours
  • No hardware costs
  • No software installation
  • No special configuration to run in your unique environment.
  • Security, maintenance, optimization and updates are handled by iProduction

Plus, as your web presence expands, iProduction will scale to your needs.

Reliability: Keeping reader trust intact

Subscribers depend on your publication schedule -- and notice if you miss a date. Online, the pressure's even greater. Visitors expect 100% availability, around the clock. iProduction is built to deliver.

The iProduction platform runs in a completely virtualized server environment. (a "private cloud"). In the rare event an individual physical server fails, the virtual servers are automatically moved to other physical servers.

Adding to this high degree of reliability and up-time is the iProduction data center structure, which has no single point of failure in the server, network and Internet connectivity systems. The Microsoft SQL Server database is run in a clustered environment for high availability.

The iProduction platform is on hardware that is refreshed on a regular basis, and all software is upgraded with the latest patches to protect against any security vulnerabilities.

All data is backed up on a real-time basis to a separate data center. (Ask about disaster recovery options.)

Performance: Giving readers what they want, when they want it

Our virtual servers run on the latest generation Intel-based hardware optimizing website performance. A high-speed caching system speeds up page delivery for a better end user experience. A content delivery network (CDN) with points of presence in major cities throughout the world, manages delivery of multimedia assets for minimal network latency. The results: end users enjoy a more responsive website experience with graphics, video and audio delivered from servers in the closest proximity.

Scalability: Growing as your digital operations grow

All websites on iProduction are delivered from a web server farm that can be expanded to handle high page view volumes as your site grows. Email servers and application servers are also clustered so that additional capacity can be added easily and quickly as your sites grow in popularity.

Partner interfaces

iProduction provides a variety of interfaces to third-party partners. These interfaces are implemented using web services (both SOAP-based and REST-based web service interfaces are supported). Standard interfaces that are supported include:

  • YesMail
  • ExactTarget
  • Cambey & West
  • SFG
  • InXpo
  • Eloqua

Other interfaces utilizing SOAP or REST conventions are easy to implement.

The bottom line: A better bottom line

Performance, reliability, security and scalability. All for a low initial investment and a future total cost of ownership (TCO) previously unheard of in the publishing industry.

The problem is that the systems publishers have traditionally used for distributing content, establishing relationships with an audience, and financially supporting their operations evolved in and for the world of paper-based publishing.
